Overwhelmed?

A mother or father who is unable or unwilling to care for their infant has the right to release custody of their baby without fear of legal consequences.

They must simply bring the infant (up to 30 days old) to:

            * A medical worker in a hospital
            * A medical worker at a fire station or other emergency service organization
            * A peace officer at a law enforcement agency
