Actions Matter

Your actions matter.

Taking time to think through life's decisions gives you the opportunity to purposely act in a way that will lead you in the direction you want to go. Live proactively not just reactively.

  • Have you been hurt by your past sexual choices?

  • Do you dream of a happy marriage or relationship someday, but have no idea how to get there?

  • Do you keep dating people who are not good for you, but don’t know why?

Tips to make every action count in a good way:

1. Date respectfully: Show respect to yourself and others by how you act and what you wear.

  • Plan your date ahead: Planning ahead shows the other person you care about them and doesn't leave extra time for things to go farther physically than you had intended.
  • Dress Modestly: Ask yourself what you are trying to say by wearing a particular outfit. Are you dressing respectfully or in a way to seek physical attention? It's hard to get to know someone when you are distracted by their clothing...or lack of it.

2. Set boundaries physically and emotionally and don't cross them

3. Get help from a friend or mentor to start off on the right foot

  • A friend can help hold you accountable for your actions. They can support you in your positive decisions especially when the right decisions are hard to make.
  • Consider signing up for our DREAM program where a caring volunteer will help you learn the benefits of healthy decisions.

4. Start AGAIN

  • It's never too late to start making better decisions for your life. Use this worksheet to chart out your new plan.
