Making Outstanding Mothers (MOMs)

This follow-up program of the Miami Valley Women’s Center - one of two - is designed to provide practical and emotional support to you and your child. Both programs allow you to earn items for your child by meeting regularly with one of our caring volunteers and completing assignments between appointments.  You and your support person will work through such topics as relationships, parenting, decision making, goal setting, budgeting, and/or others.

If you choose to participate in MOMs you will earn Baby Bucks by completing assignments and keeping appointments once a week with your support person.  You may also earn Baby Bucks by keeping doctor’s appointments, attending approved classes and support groups, starting a savings account, writing book or video reports, etc.  Your husband or partner and your mother may help you earn Baby Bucks by attending approved activities.

When you have finished the 12-visit program, you may spend the Baby Bucks you’ve earned in our Baby Store stocked with new items.

24/7 Dad

This follow-up program of the Miami Valley Women’s Center is designed to provide practical support for men as they walk through pregnancy with the soon to be mom. This program teaches about the different aspects of being a man and how that carries over to being a dad.

If you choose to participate in 24/7 Dad you will earn Baby Bucks by completing assignments and keeping appointments once a week with your support person.  You may also earn Baby Bucks by attending approved classes and support groups, starting a savings account, writing book or video reports, etc. 

When you have finished the 12-visit program, you may spend the Baby Bucks you’ve earned in our Baby Store stocked with new items.
